Heidi Walker

Heidi Walker is a native Floridian who has a deep appreciation for the water and the skills necessary to survive in the water. She grew up in Tampa, Florida, where she enjoyed the pool, beach and lakes. Her love of swimming began when she started swimming competitively at five years old. From that point on, she never looked back.

Heidi went on to hold several age-group state records; competed in several competitions at the national level; and earned a swimming scholarship to the University of Georgia. In college, Heidi became a Division 1 All-American athlete. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree, specializing in Special Education k-12. After some time in the classroom, she added Health and Physical Education k-12 to her degree so she could pass along her love of health and fitness to her students.

Heidi now lives in Oviedo, Florida, with her four beautiful daughters, who she has passed her love of swimming to. They all went through the swim-float-swim survival swimming training and went on to become very strong swimmers. Her oldest daughter now competes for the Haggerty High School swim and water polo teams.

Heidi was in awe of the way her children learned survival swimming skills at such a young age. She decided that becoming a swimsprout instructor was the ideal scenario for her and her family. She is able to blend her love of swimming and teaching into her dream job. Heidi feels very passionate about every child learning these survival skills and remaining safe around any body of water. She looks forward to touching many lives along her journey.
